The Little Colorado River Gorge, and Navajo Reservation, as seen from Cape Solitude. If the Escalade Project succeeds in building, all you would be able to see is buildings, parking lots, and a tramway along the rim here.
In reflection of recent proceedings with the Grand Canyon Escalade project, and greatest hopes for continued protection of Grand Canyon I have made a collection of images that resonates the magic and solitude that is the Confluence of the Little Colorado River. How would you like to see a tramway built from the rim to the river on the Navajo side of the confluence? How would this effect the solitude and spiritual significance of this place? What would it mean to the importance we place on human spirituality vs something as fleeting as financial stability?
