For years I saw the Grand Canyon as my backyard. Sneaking up there for a long day or weekend, when i was lucky a few week rivertrip. Suddenly, I realized that over the past year I've spent about 180 nights IN the Grand Canyon, and that it has become my home instead of my backyard. I've come to know the geologic layers, making each of them like a floor in a large house which I'm yearning to explore every corner of.
